A Handmade Christmas: Gifts, Tags and Stocking Stuffers

There's a reason handmade gifts get saved in the ornament box and the cedar chest while store-bought ones get regifted. Somebody chose the colors, made it with their hands, and thought of you while they did. That feeling is why we love the holidays in our workshop, even with the long to-do list.

Stocking stuffers under $15

• Christmas wine glass charms with holiday gummy bears and mushrooms
• Christmas beaded keychains and faith cross keychains with pearl beads
• Snowflake and ice skate gift tags, three to a pack
• Printed morel mushroom ornaments, with hooks on request (their story)
• A pocket-size flexi dragon that wiggles (meet it)

Gifts that steal the show

• A green and red articulated axolotl, the holiday edition of our wiggly favorite (read more)
• A Christmas granny square hat for a child, in green, red and white (read more)
• A Christmas beaded bracelet set in red, green and clear glass

For the pets

Yes, the guinea pig gets a present too. Our red and green crochet sweater vests are made with thicker yarn that hairless "skinny pigs" especially appreciate. It's the holiday card photo of the year. The story.

For crafters and scrapbookers

• A Christmas scrap pack with cardstock, ribbon and washi tape for holiday journal spreads
• A Christmas scrapbook layout with a gold garland border, ready for this year's photos
• Holiday gift tags to make every package look handmade (more tags)

Holiday shopping tips

1. Order early if you want a custom color or a monogram. Handmade takes a little time, especially around the holidays.
2. Check Etsy's estimated delivery dates on each listing before you buy.
3. Gift a guide. Can't decide? Send the link to someone's favorite guide with a note: "Pick one, it's on me."
