The Big Oyster: An 8-Inch Mushroom Shelf

In the wild, oyster mushrooms don't stay small. A healthy cluster on a fallen hardwood log can spread into caps as wide as your hand, layered in tiers. Our large mushroom shelf is that big, confident oyster, sized for real things.

Big enough to be useful

At 8 inches across and about 4.5 inches deep, this shelf has room for more than a trinket:

• A small succulent or air plant in a mini pot
• A candle or battery tea light
• A figurine, a bust or a favorite photo
• Keys and sunglasses by the door
• Climbing and basking space in a reptile enclosure, which customers have asked us about more than once

The corner shelf

Corners are the most wasted space in most rooms. The corner version turns one into a woodland feature. It's sold as a set of two, so you can stack them up the corner like mushrooms climbing a tree.

A natural pairing

The large shelf looks best alongside its smaller siblings. Hang one big oyster with a set of three little ones around it, and the cluster looks like it grew right out of the wall. It's also how our ten-piece bundle is built: nine regular shelves plus one large shelf or a flush cluster.
